karamel's Issues

[Feature Request] Hide/Show all child comments

There's an option in RES (Reddit enhancement suite) which allows the user to hide the child comments via a simple Hide & Show button. I would love to see that same feature on this extension.

the reason to request this feature is fairly simple one
I would like to see a complete overview of user engagement & read the discussion I like the most.

this option is also useful when you realize the thread you were just reading turned into a circle-jerk and want to go to the next reply instead of scrolling through levels upon levels of stupidity to find the next useful comment. in short, this option saves a lot of time when you are reading comments!!

also, if possible also add the collapse/un-collapse the chain comments to a limit sometimes chains are interesting & sometimes they aren't.
For e.g. hide till 2nd level of child comment

parent

child

child's child <- collapse these

  • Add an option Hide & show child comments

  • Add an option to hide all the child comment below 2nd level comment

P.S. I know there are [+] [-] buttons to collapse & un-collapse the child comments but a direct button to do all the above will be really timesaving & convenient.

Causes dropped frames

After isolating the issue to this extension, I find it was causing a significant and noticeable number of dropped frames whenever loaded.

If you need data, please let me know how I can help.

Windows 10, latest Chrome version.

Fix subreddit links

Subreddit links (like /r/all) are relative, therefore going to youtube.com/r/all rather than reddit.com/r/all.

Add setting to disable hiding the youtube comments

Love the extension!,
However by default, the youtube comments are hidden when there are reddit comments to be shown. Personally, I'd prefer for youtube comments to always be shown under the reddit comments. Especially when there are very little (or no) reddit comments under the post it just takes an extra step to see comments.

Thanks!

Better method for finding Reddit threads of a video

Seems as though the current method of using the Reddit search API is missing threads (in some cases, the largest ones don't even show up). Action: Investigate if there is a better way to find all link posts of a certain URL

I might start working on it if you are ok with it
