Octopress Image Tag

A nice image tag for Jekyll sites.

Installation

Using Bundler

Add this gem to your site's Gemfile in the :jekyll_plugins group:

group :jekyll_plugins do
  gem 'octopress-image-tag'
end

Then install the gem with Bundler

$ bundle

Manual Installation

$ gem install octopress-image-tag

Then add the gem to your Jekyll configuration.

gems:
  -octopress-image-tag

Usage

{% img [class names] url [width [height]] "[alt text]" [title:""] %}

Examples:

{% img /images/ninja.png "Ninja Attack!" %}
{% img left half http://site.com/images/ninja.png title:"Hidden Ninja" %}
{% img {{ site.cdn }}/images/ninja.png 150px 150px %}

Output:

<img src="/images/ninja.png" alt="Ninja Attack!" >
<img class="left half" src="http://site.com/images/ninja.png" alt="Hidden Ninja" title="Hidden Ninja" >
<img src="http://some.cdn.io/images/ninja.png" width="150px" height="150px" alt="Ninja in the shadows" title="Hidden Ninja">

Liquid Exception: Unknown tag 'img'

I'm getting the error Liquid Exception: Unknown tag 'img' when generating posts containing img tags.
Has anyone had and solved this issue?
I've also left details at octopress/octopress#70 (comment).

Not accommodating baseurl

This doesn't appear to accommodate baseurl for a site hosted on a GitHub Project page. I've tried adding:

{% img {{ site.baseurl }}/images/image.jpg "Image" title:"Image" %}

{% img /images/image.jpg | prepend: site.baseurl "Image" title:"Image" %}

but the resulting markup is always:

<p><img src="/images/image.jpg" alt="Image" title="Image"></p>

Is there some way of incorporating baseurl?

Is it possible to center an image with image-tag?

I started using Octopress again recently and I could have sworn that the image-tag plugin had a center option. However, when I use the following tag:

{% img center /images/image.png "What a great image %}

it does not center the image.

Support for srcset and relative URL for assets

Hi there,

First of all, thank you very much for this plugin!

I'd like to ask. Is it possible to add srcset to an img tag?

Also, is it possible to output relative URLs for assets based on page/ post or document, so assets could be organised in subdirectories? Similar to this plugin https://github.com/samrayner/jekyll-asset-path-plugin (but it doesn't support collections).
