Just for consideration:

The UUID requirement for each message is not actually suitable for (ultra/)low latency processing.
Message(ActorRef from, ActorRef to, Object body, UUID requestId, boolean response) {...}
Have you considered sequence number? It's common practice to have sequencing in low latency deployments.

• It's possible to get more efficient allocation;
• Potential total ordering interpretation e.g. deliver Virtual Synchrony;
• Potential to replicate via unreliable channels.

Indigo's performance is indeed much better than akka.
There are relatively few documents and comments, and it is a bit difficult to get started. Hope to improve on examples and documentation.
