Examples of using Observable in a variety of contexts
Hi Tophtucker,
Thanks for your example code! As a beginner, I have one question.
I wish to use one of your example "react-create-react-app" with other D3 template, so I downloaded the source code of the new template and put it in scr/@d3/NewTemplate. Also, I run:
yarn add @observablehq/runtime
, then I have the new file in ./file to build my fileAttachments variable in json script.
But when I used the original file downloaded by yarn add @observablehq/runtime
, the webpage could not show out successfully. I noticed that you mentioned in the ReadMe file in "react-create-react-app" that we need to replace this file name with flare.json. I am confused about which .json file is suitable for the new template? I tried flare.json but it doesn't work. Could you pls give me a hand? Thank you so much!
For dynamic data (api) the sunburst does not show the new data.
Hey, thanks for all of your work on these examples. I'm confused by all of the examples, because they reference libraries prefixed by @d3
that are not actually on npm. For example, @d3/chloropleth
from https://observablehq.com/@d3/choropleth. Where can I find these packages?
Hi, I want to mix react's state with my observable notebook it seems that the following file is a good example for that: https://github.com/observablehq/examples/tree/main/react-dataflow. However, there is no clear instructions on how to reproduce the live example. I have tried to use the approach on https://github.com/observablehq/examples/tree/main/react-create-react-app/#readme. However, I still can't reproduce it.
Rather than the top-level README linking to the live examples in gh-pages, we should add a README to each example’s folder that documents how the example works, and then link there. That way there will be some context to understand what the example is showing and to explain any surprising details.
Also we should add titles to each example README.
Let’s take the styling from here https://observablehq.github.io/examples/standalone/
And apply it to other examples such as https://observablehq.github.io/examples/simple-constant/
