TinyInv

Discord

TinyInv is a Minecraft mod, that allows you to manipulate the available inventory and hotbar slots on a per-player basis. This includes:

  • decreasing the number of inventory slots
  • decreasing the number of hotbar slots
  • increasing the number of hotbar slots
  • disabling the offhand slot
  • disabling the individual armor slots
  • disabling the individual crafting input slots

This can be done both globally for all players - inside the config file, or individually for one player using attribute modifiers. The mod also has a built-in way of adding attribute modifiers to existing items and status effects using datapacks.

tinyinv's Issues

Wearable Backpacks Compatibility

An idea regarding tinyinv and cross mod features with Wearable Backapacks would be to check rather the player is currently wearing a backpack and limit the inventory size based on the backpack capacity from Wearable Backpacks. Instead of deleting items that are picked up move them to the backpack inventory.

This would allow compatibility where players can still open each others packs in that mod and steal from their inventory while limiting player inventory without one.

cant even upload the log because spam of this same error is simply too big, it is impossible to change dimensions or end the game because of this error

Crash with Better Combat

Hey

It's a really specific situation, when i use a weapon (vanilla or modded) with the mod Better Combat.
During the animation, the game froze and crash.

The error file is HUGE!  (Don't fit in Pastebin xD )

https://paste.bingner.com/paste/cky2w Don't work anymore...

Edit : Only crash when i'm in survival mode. Not in creative.

ColdSweat incompatibility

For some reason installing TinyInv along with ColdSweat causes its temperature indicator on the HUD to disappear.

[Suggestion] More settings for Hotbar

Make a new setting that when adding hotbar slots, you can choose between the current and default system that use one row on your current inventory, or a new system that let you modify the number of inventory slot of the hotbar, separately from the slots from the rest of the inventory.

Here is a mockup i made as a concept to compare the current system and the new one, both using 18 slots for the hotbar:
old hotbar
New hotbar

And with the option that lets you change the number of hotbar slot, you can add more inventory rows in your hotbar (up to 3 hotbar rows), or reduce it to 1 slot, and separately of the rest of the inventory that can be already modified on its own.

Also, currently, when you reduce the number of Hotbar slots, those "removed" slots still exists when you open your inventory (as seen in the following screenshot from the video presentation), with this new suggested setting, removed hotbar slots would actually be removed from your inventory.
