On a i8190N, when booting, I'm asked for the SIM-PIN. But there is no radio available afterwards.

When dialling *#*#info#*#* and going to the Phone-Infos, the radio is "Unknown" and I can not select any radio.

I tried many tips I found in the internet, like rebooting several times in combinations with switching flight-mode on and off, re-inserting the SIM card, taking the battery out for a few minutes, etc.

I also tried different basebands (all of them working with stock firmware) without success.

This happens with cm12.1_golden.nova.20150627.zip and AFAIR with these, too:

• cm12.0_golden.nova.20150428.zip
• cm11.0_golden.nova.20150311.zip
• cm11.0_golden.nova.20150131.zip
• cm10.2_golden.nova.20141021.zip

Anything I can do to help debugging this?

Note: This may be related with #50: i8190N identifies itself as plain i8190.

After some update I don't see all my contacts from SIM card (just few of them) if you write new SMS on a list that shows after "All contacts" in options in both cases. I had all contacts on those lists at CM11 on S3 mini just not long ago

The recovery download for CM11 doesn't match the md5sum given..

Can someone correct the download or update the md5sum?

This applies to KitKat 4.4.4 (CyanogenMod 11.0) 20140910. Full wipe install using NovaFusion’s TWRP Recovery v2.8.0.0 20140911.

In many applications the compass does not work at all or only in a defective way:

• "Swiss Army Knife" does not even shot a compass tool, since it assumes there is no compass sensor.
• OSMAnd does also not show the compass direction.
• GPS Status & Toolbox sometimes shows the compass direction. But most of the time it only points straight north, as it thinks there is no compass at all. Some times it just wanders around and does not stand still.

The only place, where the compass seems to work is the compass tile in the notification drawer (but even there it sometimes just stays straight north).

In Stock ROM all applications work fine - so there seems to be a problem with the compass.

For compaction, on CM11-20150810 the flashlight turns on immediately.

Bug report:
1-Torch doesnt fix yet. After three or four times the cell restarted by it self.
2-Turning on bluetooth and hotspot at same times make the phone very lagging/unresponsive

I'm not sure if is the correct place, but I had downloaded CM from here and found 2 issues: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2521593

1. A problem with automatic bright: doesn't work from bright control panel
   and
2. An issue with "Relax mode" (or similar - I don't know how it says in English). When I set this mode from status bar icon, then the device turn his sounds completely off and I don't know how no enable again. I tried by the same button and keeping pressed and check and uncheck the box but nothing.

if is the correct place, I could split this issue in 2 :)

I have big problems with RIL.

=3G data bug=
I always lose 3G data so often and i always have to turn on/off airplane mode 10-15 times per day and reboot my phone 3 times per day. This must be fixed quickly. It's very annoying when it lost data 50 times per day.

=Airplane mode bug=
Sometimes the Airplane mode takes 10-15 to activate airplane mode. When i turn off airplane mode, RIL take 10-15 sec to connect to mobile mast.

first of all, thank you for the great work!
After testing several versions of the golden rom, i'm still having issues when enabling, or disabling the wifi hotspot. My device freezes for approximately 10 seconds when turning wifi hotspot on, or off. That duration is a little bit longer, when connected to a bluetooth headset. This is not amusing, when listening to music, as the player then hangs, too and needs to bee restarted. :) After reading through the bug tracker, i couldn't find a report for this. Please let me know, if there is a workaround, or an existing solution. If not, what information do you need to reproduce? (last tested on cm 11-20140713-UNOFFICIAL-golden + before)

I'm using the cm12.0 20150119 build.
If I start a screencast, the whole system freezes and the only thing I can do is to power the phone off by pressing the power button for 8 seconds.
The app I'm using is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rivulus.screenrecording

Settings -> Lock screen -> Button Actions -> Home unlock (Pressing the home button unlocks the device)
If option is unchecked device should be unlock only by power button, but it's not working.

I hope I'm right here since I can't find something called "bugtracker" on the novafusion page and there are no links to it.

Well, I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S3 mini I8190 with CM11 and the auto-brightness function is not working. When I press the "Auto" button, the settings button on the right appears and immediately disappears again. So the auto-brightness is completely out of work.

P.s.: The twilight app is not working as well -- I think this is related to this issue. The preview works fine but the deamon doesn't change any color.

hi, maybe is an issue or battery problem but everytime i charge (full) the phone i find it powered off.
i've changed my battery last monts and have done full reset before installing the last rom.

Device encryption does not work with CM11 on Galaxy S3 Mini. Battery is charged > 80%, PIN/Password is set. After starting device encryption a green android appears, but nothing else happens. Hitting the "back" button leads back to to settings menu.

tried deleting and manually creating APN’s didn't workt…

solution: installed an other messaging app (SMSSecure (open source, available on F-droid) and now i am able to send and receive MMS perfectly

I use your device tree to build AOSP-ROM and stolknuls a problem vser works fine except for this function the, sometimes the image flikering, advise how to fix it.

In the E-Mail app (not gmail) go to setting and then select an account.
In the account's settings try to set a notification sound. You can select anything from the list, but when the list closes, the notification sound is set to "none".
When an e-mail arrives, no notification sound is played.

phone encryption doesen't work

This applies to KitKat 4.4.4 (CyanogenMod 11.0) 20140910. Full wipe install using NovaFusion’s TWRP Recovery v2.8.0.0 20140911.

When I reboot the device or turn it back on after it was powered off, the network mode tile in the notification drawer shows the last state (in my case "2G" since I only use 2G most of the time to save battery power).

But: The system itself always switches to "3G" after reboot/power up.

Expected behaviour: Either the tile in the notification drawer should also show "3G" when 3G is active after reboot OR (better) the network mode should stay in the selected mode after reboot.

Phone discharges to ~30% and reboots, after reboot battery status is at 1-10%
or it ends in a boot loop.

hi, I have found an issue (which is kind of popular if you check the comments) regarding offline charging. My s3 mini does not seem to be able to charge while turned off, the usual offline battery animation does not show, instead it hangs at the loading animation. I hope this issue can be identified and fixed soon.

I looked for clock issues in the change log provided on the maclaw.pl page.
I noticed that it should be fixed since a particular release but since the

"cm11.0_golden.nova.20140921.zip" release it happens much more often than ever
before(for me) that nearly each clock you see on the phone show a different time ;-)

That makes the phone unuseable for alarm-clock purposes in my case.

If there are more information needed i will provide them as fast and good as i can.

In basic SMS application I go to settings, click sound, choose any build-in sound and click OK. The sound is not applied and there is no sound when SMS comes. Same with vibration

In CM12 (Build 12-2015311-UNOFFICIAL-golden) MTP is not working properly. When I connect the phone to my PC (tried Ubuntu 14.04 and Windows 7) the device will not show any data partitions. Adb is also not working fully, so this may be also USB related:

Additionally, when I open Settings -> Storage -> USB Connection and click on PTP or MTP the settings dialog crashes.

When I enter the perfomance menu, and do something (like scrolling down the notification bar), the processor min speed sets itself at 1000Mhz and when i return to the menu, it sets back to 200mhz. Using some CPU tuner apps i see that when i leave that menu, it happens to be set on 1000Mhz.

During installation via TWRP no Nova's installer, installation is automatic, the report is only issued to the console.

It works fine! Congratulations!

Anyway, i found out a little issue:
if i connect the phone (turned on) to the battery charger and then i turn it off, the phone doesn't power off, but reboots.
So, i have to disconnect the battery charger cable, power off, and then reconnect the battery charger.

Let me know if someone have experienced something like that.

The music application keeps on crashing on opening and does not work at all. Sometimes, it keeps on popping up the not responding dialogue which is very annoying. I had to disable the Music app to get rid of it. I am living without music since the installation of the rom. Please look into this.

On i8190N , the Nfc cannot working ,please try to fix

Can’t find icon for stock camera in the main menu. The stock camera can only be run from the lock screen (like a phone).
Also, can't enable the app in app manager, it was disabled before rom update.

The Dialer crashes whenever I get a call, flashlight turns on with a slight delay, battery life is low AF.
Phone gets also laggy when I am listening to music.

I know that dialer has been fixed in 20150723 ver.

Not working phone speaker in Hangouts. Works only main speaker or headphones.

I am trying to solve the same issue in the same conditions and the same symptoms as guys have here and here and here. I can track it's presence since cyanogen 10 and I am still experiencing it on the latest 12 and 11 with Galaxy S3 Mini.

According to the contents of /data/cops.log, I first thought that something goes wrong right from the start (cops_wakelock.c:54 cops_do_wakelock_release(): write() errno=22 (Invalid argument)). So the first thing on my mind was inserting more debug logs into copsdaemon.

copsdaemon can be found inside the "prebuilt" directory, without the source code. I found the leaked source of NovaThor on GitHub. I managed to compile copsd, insert the logs and run it.

Unfortunately, that error seems pretty normal. It writes "cops" to /sys/power/wake_unlock to reset the lock in case it had been activated before the daemon launched. If the lock was not active, it gets "Invalid argument" and it seems OK. Hovewer, inserting cops_wakelock_acquire() before cops_do_wakelock_release() does not eliminate this error. Further debugging is impossible since my copsd was configured in "emul" mode, and looks like it must be configured in "modem" mode for the real world. This involves much device-specific configuration and is hard without prior knowledge of the internals.

So finally my question is, do you have the configured source code of cops or did you just copied it from the original Samsung firmware? If you have it, could you provide it?

Hey in the CM12.1 Rom does not working the FM radio. I use the app Spirit1: Real FM Radio. It working with cm11.

1. Torch does light but doesn't turn off. (Notification drawer)

2. MMS sending does not work too.
