In the Contacts app, the 0 (zero) character is far too similar to an uppercase "o" (O). Just compare here: 0O

What are the bare minimun commits to get this thing booting with nothing phone 1?

Nothing's implementation of the MGLRU kernel causes modified boot images to crash the phone.
Freezes and ramdumps are common if the device is rooted.
MGLRU implementations from other vendors do not cause such issue.

Magisk's issue where the problem was investigated but seems not to be on their part:
topjohnwu/Magisk#6780

Disabling persist.sys.mglru_enable from system.prop solves the crashes but the underlying problem remains.

I don't hide the fact that I dislike artificial limitations. Android has always been associated with a certain kind of freedom to me. And it's in that direction that I believe Nothing Phone will be heading.

The current top-down system changes and restrictions imposed by Google for new applications are causing Magisk, the root application, to be increasingly detected by various banking software. There is an interesting alternative - KernelSU. Are you considering introducing support for this type of solution?

I am pretty new to kernel development and I am compiling a kernel for my device. I know that a correct toolchain is essential for this process, but I am unsure where to find or how to choose the appropriate one. Also does anyone know what the different branches are?

For right-handed/single arm people using System Navigation Gestures with the so big screen. Hitting the back arrow is a pain. It should be nice if we could adjust the position in the same way we already have a setting (right/left) for classical Three-button Navigation, more the possibility to set it on top or bottom of the screen.
