fss-postgres

This is the Meteor package for pg-live-query. It adds reactive Postgres queries to Meteor.

Basic Usage

First, you must set up your connection string using the Meteor settings API. The setting name is Meteor.settings.postgres.connection_string. ###Server

    // Get some results
    var handle = Postgres.query('select * from students');
    var results = handle.fetch();

    // Observe the changes
    results.observe({
        diff : function(diff) { ... }
    });

    // Publish the query to clients
    Postgres.publish('myPublication', function() {
        return handle;
    });

###Client

    // Subscribe to some results
    var handle = Postgres.subscribe('myPublication');

    Tracker.autorun(function() {
        var results = handle.fetch();
        console.log(results);
    });

[question] Do we have to use Tracker.auto all the time?

Dear @nothingisdead
I am using fss-postgres and I noticed the difference between putting

results = handle.fetch!
console.log results

in Tracker.auto and outside.
When inside, I could see all the results. When outside, I received an empty array. So do we have to put them inside all the time? I mean every time we need data from Postgres, we write a Tracker.auto for fetching data.
