Typo?

Should this be:
ScriptEngine::LockScriptList("script.getNext");

Right now its scrip.getNext

d2bs not responding when starting my profile within kolbot

When starting my profile it says D2Bs not responding and then it try's restarting profile. Never actually connects just constantly loops retrying to start profile. After following specific directions on configuration of my character profile this is what happened. Is there something I can do to fix this? @noah-

realm login switching between clients

This issue is caused by having multiple clients logging in on different realms in a short timeframe.
Client #2 will switch realm right after client #1 checked if currently selected realm is correct.
When doing so client #2 will have set the current realm across all clients (registry) thereby causing client #1 to login to the wrong realm even if the currently selected realm seemed correct.

Two or three ways to fix this :

  • Check the login packets to get me.realm before being in char screen
  • Disable clients from editing registry or using registry for info to send for login
  • have a sep value saved for currently selected realm aside from me.realm

I did a slow job of retrieving all quests states in Diablo, here is the result if some people are interested in it. They are necessary to understand how to use the D2BS API function me.getQuest(id, state).

### Preliminary notes

  • States range from 0 to 15 (they are stored in an uint16). They are not self-exclusive.
  • BEWARE: if by mistake you try to get the state 16 for quest "i", the getter will not crash but instead return the state 0 of quest "i+1" (because all quest states are stored end to end in a Array. Same for 17 that returns state 2, etc...

Common states

(same for all 6 visible quests of all 5 acts)

  • 0: quest completed (both requirements & thanks by NPC & reward used)
  • 1: requirements completed, must go town talk to NPC for congratulations or reward.
  • 2-11 various steps, depends of the Q. Some correspond to talking to a NPC and may be skipped.
  • 12: box in quest menu is greyed (requires opening the quests menu at the good act page). Just requires that at least one member of the party has reached state 0 but not necessarly yourself.
  • 13: quest requirements cleared for/by the party in this game. Reset on quit if no reward from this quest, changed to 15 otherwise.
  • 14: Another party completed the requirements in this game. if not 13, I cannot complete this quest in this game. If 13 (ex: Forgotten tower completed by a teamate), ignore. (Note: it doesn't remain in next game, and thus not true in case of joining a game whose creator already has completed the requirements...)
  • 15: I completed the quest requirements in a previous game & there was a reward & reward had not been used in the same game but later or not yet.

Adding detection protections?

Not worried with server side heuristic detection. That can be handled in the scripts themselves. More concerned with preventing the exe and its actions client side being detected.

I'm not sure where to start (in the source), but I'm willing to put time into it if you think it's worthwhile. I was thinking along the typical lines of injecting to hide process, using kernel memory read/writes (using a custom driver or exploiting some signed driver). I don't know much about D2's detection methods on the client side, so maybe I'm just barking up the wrong tree. But I figured I'd start here.

I can understand integrating Mining or AD to get running costs and motivation. just remember: most of the botters I know are over 25 years old or older. ey, we all have jobs. if you need support, just integrate a popup in the next version: "we need support, either help us or in the next version is integrated AD" you will see that many will pay for it. Help getting PD2 Gamelist GameServer and Difficulty values

Can you please add support for PD2 Join List.

When you refresh games, I want to able to join a game based on the GameServer or the Difficulty.

But in the current gamelist for Vanilla D2, it doesn't get those values.

Update doxygen documentation of APIs

Current d2bs documentation is stale, it is missing various changes made to the core. Need to go through the commit history and fix/add to the doxygen documentation for all new features added and old functions changed.

Create a regression script

Write a single file js script (separate from botting libs) that calls every single d2bs api with various argument types
create files and execute them via file apis
intent is to have something to test if any features get broken by changes

Add wide char unicode support for all paths

Non english unicode file paths fail to work because d2bs does not use wide chars for paths. This includes loading libraries, script paths, and using *W versions of win32 lib functions instead of *A versions.

My Diablo 2 windows are 800 pixels wide. it would make so much sense if D2Bot at least gave me the option to make it match those windows, so I can make a nice grid, but no matter what i do, D2Bot will not allow itself to be shrunk below a width of 906 pixels. i even downloaded several windows resizer utilities that hook directly into the OS, but it stubbornly resists even their efforts.

i know it's a bit OCD, but i'm considering just trying to make the change myself and compiling it. :)

If this isn't a high enough priority to be addressed, would you mind pointing me at which file to look at to modify the layout parameters? Thank you!

Compiling for 1.13c?

Hello

I can see there are commits that go back to 1.13D, but can't see a build for 1.13c? Is it possible to build for 1.13c? If so, can you please explain.

I have built the 1.13D version, is there a way to downgrade the 1.13D version to work in 1.13c?

Any help appreciated.
