Problem in

if (strpos($url, 'http') === false) {
    $url = 'http://' . $url;
}

If I pass url, which contains http word, this condition is work wrong. Example, for: www.http-tests.ru, or google.com/http-rss-feed.xml

Possible solution: use parse_url, example:

if (parse_url($url, PHP_URL_SCHEME) === null) {
    // ... prepend scheme 
}

Is it worth to have such kind of method if it's just type casting?
If Object will be recursive, it won`t really convert it to array.

public static function objectToArray($object)  
{
     if (is_object($object)) {
          return (array) $object;
     } else {
          throw new \Exception("Not an object");
     }
 }

Maybe better to replace it with known "hack" with json encode and decode or remove it at all?

Change all HTTP requests to guzzle/guzzle?
