Hi there, I'm Dave 👋

I've have been into coding since I was a kid, and I get to do my hobby for a job!

I have worked for The Access Group, Xamarin and Microsoft and am currently working for Evoke Systems. I am also working on RainyDay Backup, a backup system for Azure DevOps and Version Changer for Visual Studio, an addin for updating project version numbers.

When not working for money, I spend my time on my opensource projects like Cross-platform Bluetooth library, Cross-platform MVVM library, Web-API client library for JSON and gRPC and many others.

Good afternoon,

Does this message bus work between apps/services on the same device? Or only within the same application?

Problem with MessageBus.RunOnUIThread method on Android

It seems that MessageBus.RunOnUIThread doesn't work.

The reason is not initialized SyncContext field.

Code match library version

Is the current code version equivalent o messagebus release 1.4?

Support for .Net6 and Maui?

Can you please rev the library to support this?

Each event is posted in a new task

I don't understand why every event must be posted with a separate task. It only adds additional level of client code complexity and introduces some overhead of course.

If there are two components working in one thread (Android example: an Activity and a fragment), there is no reason why posting a new event should be done i a new Task.

As an example you can have a look on the very popular EventBus Android library, it works as I suggested.

Nuget package?

There is any chance to add this library to nuget?
