Without virtualenv it's easy to run into Python module conflicts - for example I had a problem with AWS CLI deps (AWS CLI I have requires an older version than the minimum version required by SG DMC).

If these could be provided at startup, it would eliminate manual key-in procedure.

Verify-ssl true|false could also be added.

I've been having problems with version 1.0.0 of the program (SSL errors), and spent a bit of time trying to figure out how to do the upgrade. Unfortunately avecto removed most of my sudo access, including the ability to kill processes, so this has been annoyingly difficult.

I looked through the dmc_mac_service.py and it looks like I can stop the thing from auto starting by deleting the /Library/LaunchDaemons/storage-dmc.plist file, but yet again, thanks to avecto removing all my administrator rights, I no longer seem to be able to do this.

Is there a clean way of uninstalling and upgrading storagegrid-dmc on a mac ?

Needs to explicitly specified in requirement.txt - and all steps from there on re-run for it to work.

For Mac OS

cd storagegrid**_dmc**/installer_scripts

it should be -dmc and not _dmc

The built in 'search' bar only filters the currently displayed set of objects in a given bucket.

It would very useful to also provide a 'path' bar, which allows storagegrid-dmc to jump down a provided path into a 'directory'|key-space that contains objects you want to manipulate.

Here's our use case: We have very structured keys on all our objects, key that represent directory structure.
Currently, if we want to view and manipulate the file
customer_99/company/special/contributions/2312345/888a2b22922_01dc3564322/original_5b55ac3c144eb00a05bdcdca5f282a19.jpg
we would have to click on 'customer_99', then click on 'company', then click on 'special' then click on...you get the idea.

A 'path' bar would allow me to simply paste in the path customer_99/company/special/contributions/2312345/888a2b22922_01dc3564322/original_5b55ac3c144eb00a05bdcdca5f282a19.jpg and just jump right down to the object I want to manipulate.

remove "Webscale" from the product name

Can "copy URL" be added to menu that shows when selected object is right-clicked?

At the moment it's a bit difficult to copy the URL to clipboard.
