When used off real hardware, it throws a "Failed to initialize canvas" "resolution is not available; exception Arg_notimplementedexception" error at the resolution its set to start as. VMware throws no errors, but when built to ISO and installed to a USB using Rufus, using an office tower with a 1600x1200 monitor, large enough easily to handle the start resolution, it throws an error. The ISO on the releases page also encounters a similar issue. Setres crashes, and nothing else works.

Whats going on here?

I'm using the latest update on Visual Studio 2022 and clone last version of NclearOS-2 v0.6.0 Alpha
I can make a new project of Cosmos os
but when I open clean NclearOS and hit run, the error below appears:
Exception: System.InvalidOperationException: Value must be set. NclearOS2 C...\NclearOS-2-main\NclearOS2\NclearOS2\IL2CPU 1
I've no idea how to fix this

I have followed the instructions for building a project. However, upon extracting, many errors instantly arise, including things like "cannot convert from char to string" and various errors relating to the systems drawing canvas.

It would likely be better for people who want to get a better look at the source (including myself, I'm trying to write more utilities for it) if there was an entire repo folder uploaded with it already set up properly, as no matter what I have tried, nothing works. each attempt yields more and less sense making errors.

The .ISO works fine though, but that's not what I need.

Do you have or could create the proper not malformed whole repo folder and if so could you upload it? It seems like I am either missing a step or something is missing from the ZIP archive.

Upon pressing "Change Wallpaper" on the settings app, it's possible to see that the used RAM goes up in the Process Manager or System Info. If you change wallpaper enough, the system locks. My best guess is the old wallpaper is not deloaded. Probably using Heap.Collect is enough.

v0.5.0 was released five days ago (according to the time of writing) and Windows Defender flags it as a virus. Previous version (0.4.0) doesn't trigger this.

It gets flagged as "Trojan:Script/Wacatac.B!ml", with a little search I found that this appereantly this is a Machine Learning thing and may lead to false positives, however don't take my word for it. I'm no cybersecurity expert.

Upon uploading it to virus total, no detections. Interestingly "Microsoft" is "timed out".
