dotnet-tools's Introduction

Hi there, I'm Nate ๐Ÿ‘‹

I'm most known on GitHub for my contributions to the .NET project (https://github.com/dotnet) while working for my former employer, Microsoft. I'm now working for AWS and as don't have much time for open source as I'd like.

This is my personal account. Starting in 2019, activity on this account is a reflection of work I am doing in my personal time. This account is NOT used for activity supported or approved by my employer.

For work I'm doing on behalf of my employer, see @mcmasn-amzn.

Consider suggesting nuget.org's advanced search

Hello,

I am from the team that runs nuget.org. We recently added a feature that lets you search for .NET tools. Do you think it would make sense to mention the advanced search experience on the dotnet-tools repo? If so, I'd be happy to send a pull request! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Add NuLink

NuLink which is trying to be like a npm link for nuget seems like a good candidate to be included in this list.

Split out README into subfolders with categories

@natemcmaster This repository is fantastic. Especially for a librarian junkie like me. However, .NET Core is getting so popular I wonder if things should be broken out differently?

Some possible starter categories

  • Testing
  • Documentation System
  • Cryptography / Hashing / Compression
    • dotnet-encrypto

Repo license?

Howdy! ๐Ÿ‘‹

What's the license for this repo's information? I'd like to be able to reference it in some other materials.

Thanks!
