Currently, fav will generate low quality .png resources if supplied by small dimension .svg file as a base. The dimensions are fine and followed the required standards however, the image is really blurry, which is unacceptable for HR needs on Android and iOS devices.
This is probably caused by pica, the image manipulation library, but needs more thorough investigation.
Currently, fav cannot produce vector results if the supplied image is in a raster format. An existing tracing solution like imagetracingjs has been tried, but the process is just too slow that it causes the app to hang and crash. We need a solution that doesn't affect the web at all, maybe offload it to webassembly?
It would be really useful if we can generate icons set without any internet connection. To achieve this, this app should be converted to PWA, which is installable to the client machine.
Sometimes, it's really useful to fill all blank spaces and stretch the generated icons. Currently, the resizer will maintain the aspect ratio from the input image.
