playdar.prefpane's Introduction

playdar.prefPane

A Mac OS X Preference Pane for the Playdar music content resolving daemon.

http://www.playdar.org

The prefPane wraps the daemon completely, with built in Sparkle auto-updates, so you can just get on with resolving content and not worry about the inner bits.

Fork It!

Build It

The build process requires Homebrew: http://github.com/mxcl/homebrew

This is to facilitate building the bundled erlang, taglib and playdar-core.

playdar.prefpane's Issues

Make explanatory text less misleading/scary

Playdar won't "search further afield" by default. People will inevitably ask what this means. I'm happy to have a stab at rewriting this. Will post a comment here later.

Needs a menubar

Depending on how long this will take, removing the checkbox may be wise. People will inevitably ask.

(Obscure bug) No way to remove tracks once scanned?

I have an external drive with a load of songs on, traveling for Christmas I've taken this with me and allowed playdar on my laptop to scan it for festive tune playing. Now I don't know how to un-list those tracks!

If I select my laptop's music folder from the drop down the prefpane scans the tracks there (~200 tracks) but still lists the ~8000 that were available when the external drive was scanned.

Its a bit of an obscure bug, but I'm wondering if songs you remove from your HD will be removed from playdar's library?
