hnhiring's Issues

Feature Request: A "delete post" or "X" button that removes posts from the client only

Let's say I am scrolling through about 100 different job postings (after using a filter), and now I want to shrink that list down to maybe 5-6 interesting jobs, instead of using the "-" (which keeps the post, but minimizes it) which takes up space, can an "X" be implemented alongside it that removes certain posts from the viewing client (and perhaps saves those x-removals in a cookie) ?

Add link to the "spec"

Hello,

A "spec" for HN "who is hiring" thread is build.

It could be cool to add a link to the project to help it grow.

The spec is host on github at who-is-hiring-spec.

Cheers.

@mwylde I think you (or someone) had added this task to for a first-time open source contributor workshop I was running, but I'm not really sure what it means. We're doing another workshop today...could you elaborate on the task?

September 2019 - incorrect/dead threads

September 2019 currently has incorrect/dead threads live on http://www.hnhiring.me/

Turns out the initial threads for the month were dropped due to the timing:

All: sorry for the false starts, we're going to go tomorrow because of the American holiday.

Missing listings

It looks like you are only scrapping the data only on the day whoishiring posts, which results in several missing job postings.

Add visible “no recruiters” notice.

On HN, the posting bot always includes the following line: “please only email submitters if you personally are interested in the job—no recruiters or sales calls”. On HNHiring it is not shown, so one must duplicate this text in their job post, which shouldn’t be required.
