Sample Golang Application Instrumentation using Appdynamics Golang SDK

1. Clone/download this repository to appd-golang folder

git clone https://github.com/msztorc/appd-golang.git

2. Download AppDynamics GoLang SDK to the same directory (appd-golang) Download the latest GoSDK from https://download.appdynamics.com/download/#version=&apm=golang-sdk&os=&platform_admin_os=&events=&eum=&page=1

3. Edit Appdynamics configuration in main.go

cfg.Controller.Host = "CONTROLLER-HOST"
cfg.Controller.Port = 8090
cfg.Controller.UseSSL = false
cfg.Controller.Account = "customer1"
cfg.Controller.AccessKey = "CONTROLLER-ACCESS-KEY"

4. Build docker image

docker build -t appd-golang .

5. Run container

docker run -p 8080:8080 appd-golang

Now, you should be able to see

Initialized AppDynamics SDK successfully

Browse http://127.0.0.1:8080 or http://127.0.0.1:8080/hello
