@jaredleekatzman: I can't seem to reproduce this issue, it looks to me like all csv and Rdata files should be handled by the .gitignore
in the root directory of the repo.
Here's an example of trying to add a csv and Rdata file to the week3
folder:
[email protected]:msr-ds3/coursework.git
cd coursework/week3
touch foo.csv bar.Rdata
git add foo.csv bar.Rdata
Which gives the following error message:
The following paths are ignored by one of your .gitignore files:
week3/bar.Rdata
week3/foo.csv
Use -f if you really want to add them.
Perhaps people hadn't done a git pull upstream master
to get the latest version of the .gitignore
, although that was over a week ago?
