znetcs.aspnetcore.logging.entityframeworkcore's Issues

Stop exception handling?

I'm trying your logging package in my new Core 2.0 project and quickly discovered that it was swallowing up exceptions that my custom middleware usually handled. My custom exception logging middleware logs to SQL and sends emails to admin staff. Doesn't seem to matter how I set the FilterLoggerSettings, your package seems to handle exceptions - but then I'll lose my emailing and separate exception logging. I really wanted your logging framework to just log the messages I send it (like the built in Asp.Net Core logging, but to SQL).

Is it possible that the order of my app.UseNNNNNNN in Startup.Configure() could be changed? Currently I have them ordered:
UseStatusCodePagesWithReExecute()
UseExceptionLoggingMiddleware() <--- my custom middleware
UseExceptionHandler()

loggerFactory.WithFilter( [just like your example])

UseStaticFiles()
UseAuthentication()
UseMvc()

Thanks for any tips!

Connect Timeout with MySQL

When using your library with MySQL I was getting the following exception:

MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlException: Connect Timeout expired.

I was able to save a Log entity manually which was meant that the database connection was good. Before giving up, I came across issue #1 which explained the problem.

It would be very helpful if you included the WithFilter configuration in README.md and made a brief mention of the issue as I'm sure it would help others in the same predicament.

In addition, as this is a known issue, wouldn't it be a good idea to include the following code in the WriteMessage method in EntityFrameworkLogger class?

if (!this.Name.StartsWith("Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore"))
    context.SaveChanges();

Stack overflow using with postgresql

Hello,

I'm trying to use this logging with postgresql but when the application starts I get the Stack Overflow Exception.

My entity framework is working fine with postgresql.

Do you know if is possible to use this tool with it?

Thanks in advance.
