syntree's Issues

Embed the code into the image generated whenever possible?

I was wondering if we could have the following feature: embed the code (the bracketed string a user types) into the image generated (for some image formats that supports custom data embedding).

An example of this feature can be found in LaTeXiT. The LaTeX code is embedded into the image if the output format is chosen as e.g., PDF.

This frees the users from having to save the original code of the tree. If a user wants to edit the tree, they can simply recover the code by reading the data from the image (This will need to be accompanied by another new feature that decodes the image, of course).

strikethroughs?

As per the copy theory of movement - the option to have a terminal crossed out.

Autoclose Brackets

I think, that kind of feature only needs a very minimal jQuery text editor to have an autoclose features on text editor.

Keeping Options on Links

It is great to have links of any tree. However, it would be better if we also kept the options in the link too. Some might prefer non-lined terminals or another might have a special font-size, height or weight etc.

The only annoying thing would be extremely long links, but there is nothing to do since it's not server side to keep short links and redirect to the tree.

Only update current field

Do not check all options anytime one option is changed. This may help prevent the page from going to the top so much when options are changed.

Errors in console / doens't update for a near-empty tree

Attempting to just type [ in (as part of [N, like if I want to start with a non-sentence root) will cause errors and not immediately update as a result. It'll update once you attempt to add a child somehow, which makes sense considering this backtrace:

Uncaught TypeError: this.parent is null

Running latest Firefox on Windows 10 but I have a feeling this is pretty evident. I might make a pull request since this is a really minor thing, later today.
