The shim for IE is missing in your Project:

Did I need to install Python to make this install work? (I'm on Win 7)

I am unable to see the font color change from black to red when trying to duplicate this example and typing 'yes' into the text box. And then I noticed I was getting an error in the console about promise.d.ts:

This is not a real problem in the app but just a problem I see with Angular 2.

Angular2 create templates in the DOM with attributes for recognize them, like "ng-content-r4nd0m" for one template, and in case we use another one inside this first template, the attribute is changed for all this second template. Fine, that's ok.
In case we have components styled, (with styleUrls), Angular generates styles with this name.
Le'ts get an example :

My template is like this in the DOM:
<div class="my-class-on-element" ng-content-kb2678></div>
The styles created are:
.my-class-on-element[ng-content-kb2678] { background-color: red; }

But, I have a question with that. If i want to make a component library, with styled components, how the users can modify my styled components ? There is no way that their classes can override the component CSS classes.

For example:
.my-class-on-element { background-color: green; }
Will not be applied because of the components mechanism. This is a good thing in all the general cases, for separate all components styles, but in the case I described before I think this could be a problem.

What do you think about that ?

How come this boilerplate doesn't have app.module.ts?
What can I do when I want to specify more imports and declarations to NgModule?
The Heroes-Tour tutorial on Angular2 homepage requires adding to @NgModule.

Can I write this in boot.ts? Or where and how to put this code below properly in this angular2-beta-boilerplate repo? Does this have anything to do with different beta/production versions of Angular2?

in this boilerplate it is included a tsconfig.json file with a files: property.

If you do no include all the .ts files you are working with, you won't be able to use the auto-import feature in Intellij IDEA and therefore, very likely, also in PHP Storm and Webstorm.
With reference to chapter 03 for example, when you create a file named property-binding.component.ts, you must include this file in the "files:" property.

It took me some time to understand this, I hope someone will find this information useful and save some time for actually learning.

I am not sure if I got the differences between the gulp thing and the CLI! in the first video we setup the CLI and then in this video we have gulp? when we use which? do they have the same functionalities at the end?

The Http post show me an error message

Hi,
I was trying to install the boilerplate, but when I launch npm start, the compiled boot.js file contains
System.register(['angular2/platform/browser', "./app.component.ts"]

Of course app.component.ts.js doesn't exists, so I get a 404. If I change it to
System.register(['angular2/platform/browser', "./app.component"]
then everything works fine, unless I compile it again, of course.

Am I doing something wrong?

I noticed while running this boilerplate that Angular sometimes complains about the my-app selector not being found.

Potential fix:
I believe the systemjs script that starts up the app should be placed after the tags. This will ensure that once Angular is bootstrapped, the DOM already has loaded the element. Once I did this, my problem subsided.

index.html should look like this:

I'm getting an error once I run "gulp"

/angular-2-beta-boilerplate/node_modules/postcss/lib/lazy-result.js:157 this.processing = new Promise(function (resolve, reject) { ^ ReferenceError: Promise is not defined

There were problems with the node and npm version, it's fixed now!

I cant do this locally on my windows.. Here is the log

in order to run multiple apps I added some lines in my file gulpfile.js

});

Now I have two tries to run BrowserSync when I execute npm run start
The first statement (located in a place unknown to me) halts (this is the one coming by default when you download this boilerplate package) and the second that I can read in the logs, that uses the options passed through gulpfile.js, works and starts node.
Where is this statement located by default in the boilerplate package?
