sublimetextsetupwiki's Introduction

Sublime Text Setup Wiki

This project's aim is to enable people to get started with Sublime Text much more quickly by showing which the best plugins are to use. Plugins can turn Sublime from a good text editor into a true power house, or IDE, for almost any writing/coding task.

Start with the essential packages, you will definitely want to install Package Control (so that installing other plugins are much easier), then browse through the other guides.

AdvancedNewFile link is invalid

Hey, saw this link in your signature on the Sublime Text forums and decided to take a look (curious to see what other people use as "must have" plugins. Good list by the way). I noticed that the AdvancedNewFile link is invalid. Not really a priority, but if people are using this repo as a reference, and choose to go to the github page rather than installing via package control, it could cause issues.

It is now hosted at https://github.com/skuroda/Sublime-AdvancedNewFile. The package control link has already been updated, so just thought I would throw this out there if you felt like updating it.

automated method to install multiple packages?

I love this sort of list; really nice job putting it together.

Once Package Control is in place, is there a nice way to bulk install all these packages? I ask because I'm putting together a larger framework and I'd like the install script to be able to set up the SublimeText packages on its own.

So ideally, you run my install script (let's assume its a shell script on os x, windows):

  • if ST2 is installed, install PackageControl if it's not there already.
  • once PC is in, install a list of these packages (or my own list)
  • you then open ST2 all the magic is there, waiting for you

Is this at all possible?
