Issues for Gitty
Home Page: http://gittyapp.com
When looking at an issue, if you click on the assignment sprocket the two buttons on the fly up appear a bit squished.
When commenting on an existing issue, the Gravatar is not displayed for the signed in user.
When viewing a list of issues for a repo, I'd love for the issue number to be clearly shown.
I often reference issue numbers when telling someone what to look at, so being able to quick find the ID number for an issue is pretty important.
I have clicked on the notifications icon and marked them as read. I had 2 notifications listed but only one available to be marked.
I then went on to other areas of the app. Not sure when, but I clicked back to the Home panel and notifications still had 1 pending. I marked it again, but the number on the screen remained.
Left the app and the icon showed 3 notifications.
While scrolling through the Feedback list, a user selects an issue. When hitting the Back button to return to the list, the Feedback list scrolls to the top.
Other lists elsewhere in the app remain at their original position when coming back from a detail screen.
It's a real pain not seeing the whole text of an issue since they get cut off with an ellipsis.
When clicking on the Details link for a repo, it currently shows options for the repo owner's user profile and the repo home. I'd also love to see a link to the parent repo if the repo is a fork of another.
I just had to leave the app to create this issue. No fun...
The follower count and following count on a user detail screen both take the user to a webview. Is it possible to keep the user in the app?
When I click to view my own profile, I don't care much about my own activity timeline (because I probably know what I did) I'm probably looking to visit a recent repo I pushed to.
Would it make sense to default to the repo tab instead of activity?
Assigning issues to users with over 23 characters in their name will cause their username to possibly be truncated when viewing issues.
The "user is assigned" statement already truncates when a username is over 11 characters. This makes it difficult to understand what the setting is when the statement is cut off.
As info, Github allows up to 40 character in usernames.
Cool new issues now!
This isn't a bug/issue/something to be done, but a list of things I noticed off the bat that I love. (Not sure how else to communicate this stuff with you)
I would expect picking an organization badge to to navigate to the org.
Do you think you could create a road map, just a simple list of planned features, so that we know what is going to go in?
I know you're only looking to have specific features tested right now, but it would be great to be able to have a reference.
This is a feature that I really miss in SportsTalk. I thought it came automatically because most apps seem to have it, I just figured it was disabled in SportsTalk.
Clicking on issues from Home timeline and Notifications cause the Issues view to load without data being populated.
The Loading indicator is present along with the empty View until data is received. Screenshot to follow.
Using the Repository list from the menu panel, I pushed the individual repo's detail icon and nothing happens.
Same functionality exists and works when viewing repos from my own profile.
When viewing the Menu panel, you are still able to click on Github news links and issues in the Timeline. This causes the hamburger icon on Primary panel to change to the Back button.
I think it would be better to simply have the primary panel slide back over the menu when tapped from the Menu
When you click on Organizations or Repos or other places in the app where the results can come back empty, may be good to place some U.I. hint that signals both A) we're completed with the search/query/etc B) and there is no data to display.
From the Main menu, I selected the Starred Repos and it shows the repos 3 to 4 times each. I also can't discern the order of the repos returned. Is it an alphabetical listing or based on when they where updated last?
When viewing a repo, if I star a repo, I would expect the number in the details to increase, especially when I pull to refresh.
I had to leave the view and come back for the count to be corrected.
The "Details" and "Share" buttons don't seem to be working from the Repositories page.
Maybe make them twice as big. For users that are part of many, perhaps have it use a scroll view from left to right.
Seems unintuitive to have the "Close" and "Comment" buttons next to each other when viewing an issue.
Their relationship implies that, when typing a comment "close" works like a "cancel comment" button rather than a "close issue" button.
Also, the comment button isn't applicable until after selecting to create a new comment from the top right.
Perhaps this would work better with a "save" button in the top right for comments like when creating a new Issue? (With a cancel button on the top left and the words "New Comment" in the top center.)
Any reason why the standard share panel is not being used in the timeline views? It's also a different style than the Open In webview control.
It does makes sense as to why the details menu is different. Just thought consistency between the two share panels would be nice.
I first opened the app and tried to login with some bogus auth credentials. After getting several failures with invalid credentials I placed valid credentials and it still gave me the failure auth message.
I meant to force-close the app and accidentally deleted it. After re-installing I entered valid credentials and was able to log in.
How do I log-out once I've logged in? I could try reproing this by deleting the app and re-installing, but thought you might take a quick look first.
Just testing the new issue creation.
I'd love to see the ability to label issues during creation.
on the search page if you enter a search and the change the 'tab' (users to repos or repos to users) it should re-execute the search query.
Going to Issues from the menu panel, I closed an issue. App notification said issue was closed. Issue was still listed. Clicked the same issue and it showed Open still.
Had to leave the view to get a full refresh.
This is becoming a theme so I'm guessing you are working on something.
if I look at my list of repo's and want to quickly get to a specific repo, it may be nice to provide a quick search/filter to find it easily.

Gravatar is missing until issue is saved.
in the menu the About
button feels lower priority and should be down possibly just above Feedback
I think on GitHub they wrap into the box below the title
Feels like very thing I do in the app and a loading spinner comes up. Ideally would be good to find a less obtrusive way to signal that an async operation was happening.
