Database

  1. Install mongoDB
  2. mongoose

To query the database we recommend MongoDB Compass https://www.mongodb.com/try/download/compass

Client

Setup:

  1. cd client
  2. npm install
  3. copy .env.sample into .env and fill in credentials

To run:

  1. npm start or npm run dev
  2. Open http://localhost:3000

API

Setup:

  1. cd server
  2. yarn install
  3. copy .env.sample into .env and fill in credentials
  4. Make sure your database is running on your machine

To run:

  1. yarn dev or npm run dev for development, yarn start for production
  2. API end point would be http://localhost:5001

Prettier

  1. In Visual Studio Code install the Prettier extension.
  2. Go to Code -> Settings -> Preferences, search for editor.formatOnSave, set to True.
