thanks for your work, i tried in fetch mode and it works ok, then i tried in pipe mode, mysql record inserted and no file created.

do you have some idea about cause of this ?

I've noticed issues with large emails / emails that include multiple attachments 20mb <

Which causes the script to no longer work. :(

Is there a way to possibly limit the email size the script will examine?

For example, no emails over 5mb ?

I have made some changes to make it work with mysqli and php7.2. Now script is unable to extract $email from outlook.
Which part of the script should I look into?

When i send email to the Script.. I got an automatic email back.. It says
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:
pipe to |/home/path/to/email-server.php
generated by [email protected]

I'm currently running one instance on a linux shared host and it seems there is a sub directory limit which is causing issues with storing attachments.

Currently there is 64998 directories within the files folder and when the script tries to store further attachments it fails adding the attachment to the filesystem (although everything else functions correctly).

I'm going to look at grouping the attachments in sets of 1000 in auto generated folders so as to combat this and just wondered if you guys had come across this before / approached it previously?

Could you advise on adding the "To" email address to the database as well as the other information?
