This extension is bringing back both clickable map thumbnails & the "Maps" tab to Google results, which have been disabled for european users.

One-click install on the store.

1. Download the last version of the extension here.
2. Unzip it.
3. Go to the Extensions page by entering chrome://extensions in a new tab.
4. Enable Developer Mode by clicking the toggle switch next to Developer mode.
5. Click the Load unpacked button and select the unzipped extension directory.

"Et voilà!" You should be able to open Google Maps from a Google results including a map thumbnail.
