Cool project you've got here! Interesting to see you addressing some of the shortcomings of systemd-nspawn. E.g. shutdown and shell in alpine containers.

Networking

AFAIK running an alpine container with nspawn can work as long as I stick to host networking since the .network files which normally setup bridge and macvlan networking aren't available in alpine. It looks like you worked on this in the net branch. Could you explain your approach? Do you have an idea how lxc handles this?

I've built jailmaker around nspawn myself and I'm interested to know how feasible it is to get networking in alpine within nspwan on par with systemd based guests.
