and i can't do php artisan:serve
but i can do php artisan chat:serve

so i use xampp to manage it

It would be nice to see how you would approach users seeing previous historical messages.
e.g. When a user connects they can see the messages before they joined also.

Would you save them to a database something like MongoDB?

This plugin looks amazing and I wish to use it in my current project, however do you happen to know if this would work with laravel 4.x? We plan on migrating to 5 sometime within the next 6 months but now that would be great.

It works best on my local server but as soon as i have deployed it on the production environment it suddenly stopped woking..

the connection is established successfully but the state of connection object is somehow not changing..

when i try to send a message the error appears like this

InvalidStateError: An attempt was made to use an object that is not, or is no longer, usable


this.conn.send(msgToSend);

what should i do?

First of all thank to you to develop a very concise app. I have downloaded your laravel chat app and now it is working fine for now. I have an issue i want to run multiple windows for two user not to broadcast the message as now it is happening. How to do that ? something link facebook chat. and one more thing how to make this app work on godday.com live server. What is the requirement to run this app. as their is only apache web server and i am not be able to run php artisan chat:serve.
