Akemi is the cutest X windows manipulation tool around! Akemi creates a virtual filesystem to represent currently open windows, similar to what /proc does for processes. This allows you to arrange them using any language you like, in a true unix fashion.
After installing the relevant developement packages for fuse and xcb for your distro, akemi can be built using the make command. Installation can be done by invoking make install.
sudo apt-get install libxcb1-dev libfuse-dev
See the wiki (http://github.com/QBCO/akemi/wiki) for more information.
