I will try to implement such a feature in the upcoming version 0.68.

The problem is, I have to wait until VSCode 1.22 is relased, because I started to work with new APIs like the upcoming progress notifications:

Because of the issue #53 and the new API of VSCode 1.22, which produced a lot of changes, I will try to implement the feature in the next version.

I have released a new version 0.69.0, which can define global buttons now:

I started a small wiki page, which list intersting commands, provided by the extension, you can use, and explains how to list all available commands, which are currently registrated in VSCode.
