autofocus's Issues

Trigger focus no matter what?

I wonder if this should just trigger the focus event despite if the browser supports it or not. Let's say you rely on that focus event to, say, change the background color of a wrapping div. Browsers that support autofocus will not trigger it and it won't work. Might as well just "fake" the focus event even in supported browsers no? Or does anyone forsee issues with that?

Check that length of array is more than 0

I got the following error:

TypeError: Result of expression 'this[0]' [undefined] is not an object.

I changed the original:

(function($) {
  $.fn.autofocus = function() {
    //Test to see if autofocus is natively supported before proceeding
    return(this[0].autofocus!==true) ? this.focus() : this;
  };
})(jQuery);

To:

(function($) {
  $.fn.autofocus = function() {
    if (!this[0]) { return this; } // Added this line.
    //Test to see if autofocus is natively supported before proceeding
    return(this[0].autofocus!==true) ? this.focus() : this;
  };
})(jQuery);

and the error went away.
