the current code incorrectly probes for cellapi.vodafone.com which is a non-existant domain. Instead, the correct domain is cell.vodafone.com , which redirects to supl.vfnet.de .
MaR-V-iN I hugely appreciate your continued work on this project, as it's a very important for all of us! While UnifiedNlp might be the future, it has seen no development in the past several months. Thanks a lot for keeping NetworkLocation alive!

Would it be possible to provide pre-built binaries based on the current source?

Any location returned as 0 as the time and not the time the location was received.

This could be (might not be the best way) solved by adding

location.setTime(System.currentTimeMillis());

to org.microg.networklocation.data.LocationCalculator.getAverageLocation()

Setting my device to "battery saver" location mode (network location only) with a /sdcard/.nogapps/cells.db file (pulled from the XDA thread) does not appear to furnish location information with Wifi and cell data turned off. I don't see any log output for this either. All my monitoring apps say that network location is not available when there is not an internet connection, despite having a local cell location DB.

Is this expected behaviour? I'll admit that I'm not a mobile dev, so I could be missing something in the flow here. I was under the impression that a local cells.db was supposed to obviate the need for dialing Apple's location server.

Installing on CyanogenMon 11 M5 (4.4), by clicking on the apk installed in the correct location, gives the following error on logcat:

Can't install update of com.google.android.gms update version 1302 is older than installed version 4325036

hi, i have some problems with the app which i would like to fix and would like to include an additional cell location provider. i wonder where i can get information about how it should work. can someone give me a url or the like to documents how a location provider should behave?

I just switched to OMNI 4.4, so I installed NetworkLocation-gms.apk (v1.3.2) in /system/priv-app/NetworkLocation.apk, also, I flashed nogapps-maps.zip

Yet the apps still cannot get location info ! I tried setting Location Mode to:
High (GPS+Wifi+Cell)
Battery saving (Wifi+Cell only)

and neither worked.
