nearlypurepythonwebappdemo's Issues

Add some user input from client side

Just for completeness, add an input to allow user to change some aspect of the app behavior. I'm thinking changing the step size for the random walk simulations would be good. Larger values would show up as more frequent color changes in the view.

I'm open to other ideas that come in before I get around to it. Keep it simple, please. I don't want the demo to grow much in size or complexity -- it's meant to be a useful skeleton that also teaches a few fundamentals of web app development.

Mention on reddit and/or hackernews

Hi Michael

I'd like to mention your demo on reddit and/or hackernews,
to illustrate the possibility of (nearly) pure Python development.
Is that alright for you?
Or would you prefer to do that yourself?
Or not at all?

Also maybe it would be nice if it were pip-installable from PyPi, since that may lower the threshold.

Kind regards
Jacques de Hooge

Can't change stepsize

Hi Michael,

In order to include the newest version of your demo in Transcrypt, I've been playing with it a bit.
I've encountered 2 problems:

  • Whenever I change the step size, it jumps back to its old value (most of the time).
  • File server.py now holds a line saying import client. Is that really right?

No hurry, first enjoy being home again...

KR
Jacques
