I certainly would like to. Dropping support would slim down the filesize and remove several dependencies (eventie, doc-ready).
But currently, now's not the right time. Per gs.statcounter.com IE8 has 5% usage, which means one out of every twenty people wouldn't be able to use Outlayer libraries.
I'll re-evaluate in a year.
