The only way to tell is to test. devices fails on curl/this script where device succeeds.
Curl error: The page you are looking for may have been moved or does not exist. + an HTML webpage payload
dashboard-api-python error: HTTP Status Code: 404 - No returned data
Beyond this function failing due to an incorrect API call, I can't see how it can possibly work with 5 expected parameters with no differentiation. I.e. how is the function to tell which of [wifimacs, ids, serials, scope, pin] the user actually passed in?
