Description

Convert whatever currency (well, any currency available in the ExchangeRate-API) you like to from whatever amount!

Setup/Installation Requirements

  • from terminal/command line, git clone this repository onto desktop or other folder
  • navigate into currency-exchanger folder
  • npm install
  • touch .env
  • you will need to add an api key to .env file; go to https://www.exchangerate-api.com/ and sign up for a free api key
  • open .env file and add your api key to variable API_KEY like so: API_KEY=2489example3828api22313key
  • npm run start
  • if you get a 403 Error on page load, it probably means API is invalid or expired. Please check https://app.exchangerate-api.com/keys to verify your key is active.
