Ruby on Rails provides the backend to this app with an API for photos and quotes, Postgres database, full CRUD functionality. Frontend built with React integrated into Rails with displays random quotes and photo of Timothee Chalamet, famous actor and favorite of Morgan's, on homepage.
- Clone this GitHub repository to desired directory on your computer.
- From the main project directory, enter
bundle install
in the terminal to populate gems. - To create a database, type in your terminal:
rake db:setup
- To install necessary libraries for react, type
npm install
- Run
rails s
to start the Rails server. - Open browswer and enter the url http://localhost:3000/ unless otherwise prompted in the terminal.
