docker-rediscluster's Issues

fixed

Currently the cluster is fixed at 6 nodes, 3 master with each one slave. This configuration should should be dynamic and allow for change to possibly test different scenarios.

Problem with DOCKER_IP variable

Hi.
when i run de script to start the cluster i dont get the docker host ip

DOCKER_IP=$(ifconfig docker0 | grep 'inet addr:' | cut -d: -f2  | awk '{ print $1}')

echo "DOCKER IP : $DOCKER_IP"

and after sometime the process fail. so i found the problem was the DOCKER_IP variable and i have to change it to this

DOCKER_IP=$(ifconfig docker0 | grep 'inet end.:' | cut -d: -f2 | awk '{ print $1}')

so if anyone facing the same problem provably here you have solution

What is ifconfig docker0?

In the script, you find the docker host ip with the ifconfig docker0 trick. What is that doing? There's no such interface when using boot2docker on osx. That's ok, I'm just wondering if I can workaround it but I don't know what docker0's purpose is. I didn't know the host IP was significant in docker. On Linux, is an IP created and then your script uses that IP to identify hosts?

Maybe this is a neat trick to connect machines because that's sort of tricky with docker (why compose was built)?
