Chicago's public homicide and non-fatal shooting dataset is updated daily with new records as well as updates to past records. (Technically, there's a 7 day lag so it's records created or updated within that lagged window). It's not clear what kinds of updates would be captured in this data, but they will become apparent if we collect data every day and check. And if nothing else, the infrastructure would facilitate automated reporting on recent incidents.
