Pretty half hearted list/guide here of what you need to be able to HQ gather the first star legendary nodes. This is a list that I got to with no Forbidden melds. It is no means perfect but fudge forbidden melds.

A lot of the gear has a high cap for stats so you can pretty much put them anywhere. Materia is as follows:

• 10 x Gatherer's Guile IV
• 3 x Gatherer's Guerdon IV
• 2 x Gatherer's Guerdon III
• 1x Gatherer's Grasp IV
• 1x Gatherer's Grasp III

This gear then gets you to 602 Gathering and 626 Perception which given any food/other buffs which give 19 or more perception to be able to harvest HQ.

Dragon/Wyvern Skin maps can be found from any Lv.60 node. They feel like they take longer to get then Lv.50, but could just be me.

Legendary

Requires 600 Gathering & 645 Perception. At 612 Gathering and 655 Perception you have a 76% chance to gather and 8% chance for HQ. It takes 2 hits at this gathering to break through the initial unspoiled shield.
