There seems to be a lot of packet loss, to the point where libmapper session management is failing to create maps and devices/signals are not appearing consistently in webmapper. Is this a new problem?

The configure step of libmapper/liblo is necessary as it generates the necessary header files. Both libmapper and liblo relies on autoconf and currently the CMake system calls the autoconf scripts and uses the desktop build system and therefore requires liblo to be installed locally.

Either a CMake-based build system should be created for libmapper/liblo or libmapper/liblo should be forked with the generated headers.
