Looks like you are trying to unique index on a very large text field? Mongo will die if you try that, you may be better off making a smaller length hash of the work and making that a unique index.

With the impending release of Maki 0.3, which adds a wide swath of new features, we should start planning porting converse over to use it, especially the new Component architecture.

Some challenges:

• moving from Semantic 1.x to 2.x
• converting UI controls to Components
• leveraging the new cryptographic identity available with <maki-identity /> (see also #23)

It shouldn't require more than a weekend's worth of work, but let's keep it in mind as we finish up martindale/maki#120.

Since there is no top level register button, people will click the login button assuming there will be a register on that page.

I registered a new user, but had to then login to create a session. Registering a new user should just immediately start a session with that user.

We should get rid of usernames and passwords, and replace them with cryptographic identity.
