Hello! I came across your app recently. It is quite helpful and has been working well for me to scan QR codes from websites that want me to use an authenticator app for 2 factor.

I was playing around with creating qr codes because it seemed interesting, and I wanted to see what each of them looked like. I failed to create an AZTEC code, resulting in the following error:

I don't have a camera. I only use a GoPro webcam and virtual webcams such as the OBS virtual webcam. However, barcodrod doesn't seem to detect it and I assume it doesn't support DirectShow webcams. Please add support for it!

Additionally, a drop-down menu to select the available webcam is a must, thanks!

In Create, I can't edit the Width, Height nor the margin. Is it a focus issue?

    Thanks! 1.4 via the Microsoft Store is not opening the Folder browser when I click the button. It just sits there and greys the button out.

I've downloaded your QR code scanner app and it works fine but I've got a question about possible new feature.
I'd like to scan QR codes with a URL to a shared storage. Wanted to create a QR with, for example file://xyz/123/ which upon scanning would be opened in a browser similar to a http:// from QR code. Chrome is capable of browsing storages so I'm just missing the point to automatically open it after scanning QR code with the link to the folder without having to copy the link and pasting it.

Do you think that would be possible to add?

Hello, thanks for developing this elegant QR code tool, I am wondering is it possible to add an abliity to auto copy what read from image or/and auto open the link, if it is enable, it will save time.

Right now, the UI of the tools stays active when clicking on the Snipping Tool button. Ideally, it should hid itself or minimized so a user can easily select the QR code on the screen.

#14 is fixed and I can now browse and select the folder I would like to process, but the program reports "No image files detected in the selected folder.". If I try to process a single image file it successfully opens images in the folder. I have tried taking the files out of OneDrive but that did not help.

Long time (and very grateful) user of this top-tier app. Re latest version - can install but not open app on new laptop - tried installing from all available sources (except self-build) and built-in modern app repair/reset options. Previous versions incl v1.7 install and run as expected when installed via GitHub msix packages.

When I try to scan a QR code using the Snipping Tool, the app closes (as far as I can see, it's supposed to), but the Snipping Tool doesn't open afterwards.

It was kinda hard to find Barcodrod, so as a free and open-source app it would be useful to publish it on websites like AlternativeTo to popularize the app and get more visibility. I could publish it myself if you allow me too.

Localization

Compatiblity with multi-lingual interfaces. By setting up a Chrowdin page and letting people contribute in translation ?

Image Preview in "Create"

The barcode names are confusing, showing an visual image preview when selecting a barcode type would make it easier to identify them for people who're not used to the names.
