I'm a bit confused by this sentence: "If you prefer to use live api calls in your javascript based tests". Is ajaxreplay meant only for testing purposes?

I'd like to have a simpler way to cache ajax requests in a user's browser on a live site in order to save some server calls. For instance, let's say the url is: www.example.com/foo/12 and a call goes out to get data for the json data of the row with id 12 from some database. If the user reloads the browser, I'd like a ajax cache to be able to serve this.

I know there are ways to code in this functionality by manually working with local storage, but I'd like to have a helper library that takes much of the burden from me.
