exchangeonlinescripts's Issues

Issue running connectEXOAsMSI

when attempting to run the test code in azure runbook the following error occurs:

VERBOSE: Creating new EXOPSSession... Write-Error: C:\Temp\bsexhnt5.w0h\51875e8e-8646-4912-aa38-e48449ea0ec4.ps1:62 Line | 62 | connectEXOAsMSI -OAuthCredential (makeMSIOAuthCred) | ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | Cannot process argument transformation on parameter 'Credential'. | userName

have recreated the workbook on PS 5 and PS 7 with no change. Im sure its something I'm doing wrong but I did manage to run it successfully once initially

Set Retention Policy on Shared Mailboxes

Hi Michael,

I am using your code to connect to Exchange Online via Azure Automation Managed ID. We have a runbook that sets the retention policy for Shared Mailboxes. We receive the following error:

Error: Source server:MN2PR18MB3197.namprd18.prod.outlook.com doesn't have write permission to target DC:BLAPR02A06DC004.NAMPR02A006.PROD.OUTLOOK.COM. Usually it indicates that target forest isn't an account partition of source forest. Additional information: Insufficient access rights to perform the operation. Active directory response: 00002098: SecErr: DSID-0315145A, problem 4003 (INSUFF_ACCESS_RIGHTS), data 0

We have set the exact same permissions using the Certificate for the Azure Run-As account and Connect-Exchangeonline (EXO V2 Module) and we do not get this error.

I am curious if you have ever seen this same error when trying to set-mailbox -retentionopolicy using your connection method. We are trying to use managed identities as much as we can but it seems like Microsoft is not ready for it.

Unable to Connect-MSOLService from Managed Identity

Hi!

After a correct EXO session start (many thanks for the script), can't run Connect-MSOLService cmdlet due an error with a missing ddl "Unable to find an entry point named 'GetPerAdapterInfo' in DLL 'iphlpapi.dll'"

Could be an issue due to limited memory?
