How to open iD with url parameters to set lng/lat/zoom and a selected element:

This is how it's done in to-fix, but I dont see code to actually preselect the way via the url parameter.

@bhousel so, interesting: looks like iD on openstreetmap.us is https, but references non-https content, which means the page can't, for example, load ways/nodes/etc unless you explicitly allow mixed content in your browser

got it working for now by using embedded iD in openstreetmap.org.

@lxbarth looks like we can't preselect multiple ways using iD, so the "Open in iD" button is only available when you select a single way.

Oh weird! try with https://openstreetmap.us/iD/master instead - the mixed content bug was fixed earlier this year.

https://openstreetmap.us/iD/release is really old. I'll have to ping Ian Dees about that.

BTW, if you really want multiple features preselected - open a ticket in iD repository, and I'll add it. I don't think this would be too hard to do.
