I am not totally convinced if expanding 127.0.0.* into 127.0.0.0-255 is a good idea, since 127.0.0.0 and 127.0.0.255 usually have special conventions. I think it would be better to make it expand into 127.0.0.1-254, which is probably more intuitive.
