Hi, bnb. No I don't think so. There are various parts specific to the particular versions of the packages that appear in 14.04.
(I'm only going to support installations on totally fresh Ubuntu 14.04 machines, unfortunately.)

I read that Ubuntu 14.04 isn't released until July. Are you supporting a beta version?
