Overview

A minimalist news reader app built in React that displays articles from the New York Times API Top Stories API.

Learning Goals

Instructions for this solo challenge include creating a React application that allows users to see a list of articles and a “detailed” view for each article in 8 hours. The goal of this project was to demonstrate the understanding of:

  • React fundamentals
  • Create multi page UX using React Router
  • Frontend best practices

Set Up

  1. Go to this repository and clone it.
  2. cd into the directory.
  3. Run npm i in your terminal
  4. Run npm run start-dev
  5. Go to http://localhost:3000/ to view the site.

  • Light and dark modes
  • Graphics and styling for more impressive UI/UX Design
